Courses Taught: 

Taught at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi for 12 years from 1989 to 2001.  During this tenure, lectured in a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the College and in the Department of Economics, Department of Commerce and Department of Financial Studies [all in the University of Delhi]. 

Teaching a few elective courses for B.Tech and M.Tech students in IIT Bombay since January 2002: Industrial Economics, Environmental Planning and Development, and Applied Economics, apart from Principles of Economics to the B.Tech Students, and M.Phil and Ph.D level courses like Advanced Economic Theory and Applied Econometrics.

  • Awarded Post-doctoral fellowship by the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies [UNU/IAS], Tokyo, Japan to work on “Economic Reforms, Technological Development and Sustainable Industrial Growth: The Case of India”.  This is a part of the larger project on
  • India’s Sustainable Development Framework at UNU/IAS.  The period of post-doctoral fellowship was for ten months [October 30, 2000 to August 31, 2001].
  • Affiliated with Institute of Economic Research, Hitotsubashi University, Tokyo, Japan as a visiting Research Fellow from December 1, 2000 to August 31, 2001.  During this affiliation I worked on a paper “Liberalisation and Differential Conduct and Performance of Firms: The Case of Automobile Sector in India”.
  • Had been awarded Ph.D., Internship at the United Nations University/Institute of New Technologies [UNU/INTECH], Maastricht, The Netherlands.  The Internship was for a period of three months beginning April 1, 1996 to work on 'Technology Acquisition, De-regulation and Competitiveness: A study of Indian Automobile Industry'.
