HS 706 : Classical Indian Thought in Modern Times

The course divided into two sections. The first section consists of : Purusharthas, Varnasharama, Theory of Karma, Svadharma, Karma-Akarma-Vikarama, Pravrtti and Nivritti. Sreyas and Preyas.` The problem of Industrially developed societies and probable solutions.` Special methods for relieving stress and developing balanced mind. Great exemplaries and their practices.

In the second section selected portions from the following texts will be read: Kathopanishad, Samkhyakarika, Yogasutras of Patanjali and Bhagavadgita.
