This talk features a journey into the world of Abhangs via Bhimrao Ambedkar and Bhimsen Joshi with a few necessary digressions into how musical idiom is shaped by social location and history.
About the Speaker:
S Anand is the publisher of Navayana. He is the co-author of *Bhimayana*, a graphic biography of B.R. Ambedkar, and has annotated the critical editions of Ambedkar’s *Annihilation of Caste* and *Riddles in Hinduism*
