Abstract:
This conversation aims to contribute with exchanges, dialogues and reflections about Indian and Brazilian Contemporary Theatre during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, based on their historical, social, political, cultural and artistic contexts. In this scope, will be presented an overview of the history of theatre, representative groups, artistes, cultural movements, creations, dramaturgies, methodologies, hybridisms of languages, artistic institutions and aspects of the cultural sphere in both countries. Thus, this talk aims to contribute in the establishment of dialogues and exchanges between Brazil and India, countries with vast and representative historical, cultural, artistic and theatrical movements.
